What to Eat When You Have a Snack Attack!

Let's face it, when on the go its hard to find healthy snacks. Healthy Food Choices are a key component in ensuring success before and after your bariatric surgery. If you get stumped on snack to choose from, there are a few listed below. To be safe, keep an insulated lunch bag or container with you. Here are a few highly ranked ones from Amazon. The Mier Adult Lunch Box and the Reusable Lunch Bag.

 

The following list should help get you on the right track:

 

Fruits (2 cups)-Place in a plastic baggy and add to your thermal lunch bag. 

-Mango Chunks

-Pineapple Chunks

-Apple Slices

-Blueberries and Raspberries

-Grapes

-Strawberries

 

Veggies (2 cups)-Place in a plastic baggy and add to your thermal lunch bag. 

-Celery Sticks

-Carrot Sticks

-Cucumbers and Cherry Tomatoes

-Baked Zucchini Sticks

-Bakes Sweet Potato Slices

-Small Side Salad

-Stuffed Lettuce Shells with Avocado and Cucumber

-Bell Pepper Slices

 

 

Fancy Snacks 

-Mash 2 Bananas and Freeze, eat like ice cream. (1 cup)

-Pineapple Chunks (1 cups)

-Place fruit on a Skewer and dip in yogurt (3 skewers)

-Baked Kale Chips (3 cups)

-Popcorn made on the stove (2 cups)

-Mix 15 Walnuts, 15 Cashews and 15 Hazelnuts

-String Cheese (2 pieces)

-Beef Jerky (1/2 cup)

-Deli Meat and Cheese Roll ups (4 slices of meat and cheese)
